On Saturday 8th November 2014, 50 of our P6 and P7 pupils from the Senior Choir took part in a concert in the Theatre at the Mill. The children gave stunning performances of some war-time songs, including 'It's a Long way to Tipperary'. Rebekah Peel (P7R23) gave a beautiful rendition of 'Daisy Bell' on the violin, and Jessica Allen (P7R22) performed her solo in Gary Barlow's 'Sing' with such confidence.
We shared the stage by the Queen's Island Victoria Male Choir, who joined us in the singing of 'I'll Tell Me Ma' and 'This Little Light of Mine', both of which were very well received by the audience. The Choir were very encouraging to our young people and their own pieces were inspiring for the children to hear.
Thank you to all the parents and friends who attended the concert and supported the Senior Choir. We are so privileged to have had the opportunity to not only perform at Mossley Mill, but also alongside such a renowned vocal group. I hope the children will treasure the memory of this concert for many years to come.
Well done to each and every one of you! Not long 'till we do it all again at the Christmas Carol Service!
